2012 Windmill Challenge Trophy

Tuesday 9th October saw our 2012 Windmill Challenge Trophy.
Upminster welcomed Dagenham, Hornchurch, Loughton, Moulsham Lodge, North Romford Camera Club and Harlow Photographic Society.
Our Judge, Ken Scott ARPS did an excellent job of separating the best images of the night. Giving us a clear winning club as well as best images of the night.
The winning club was Harlow PS with a total of 148 points, Upminster coming in Second with 143 points and Dagenham CC taking the 3rd spot with 137 points.
The best print and best digital image's of the night also went to Harlow PS.

Marilyn Steward's, Fast Forward won the best print of the night.

Heather Clarke's, The Journey Home won the best digital image of the night and also the best overall image and won the Sam Toy Trophy.

Thanks to all the clubs that attended and of course thanks to our great judge Ken Scott. We look forward to your judging our PAGB Panel Competition next April.

Outings - Bath 9th December

Sunday 9th December will be our club trip to Bath.
Will we take a coach from Upminster to Bath for the day. The price will be £15 (for club members) or £25 (for non club members, e.g friends or family).
The price will include entrance to the Roman Baths.
If you wish to go please let Lin know as soon as possible.

Lane Still Life and Metre Cup

Everyone start thinking about your entries for the Lane Still Life and Metre Cup competitions, both to be held on 30th October.
The still life comp is digital and Metre Cup is prints.

Still Life is to be a set up shot by the photographer, with no human elements.

The Metre cup is for close up images, the subject must be a metre or closer to the lens.

Half Yearly Print Competition

Our half yearly print competition was held on Tuesday, the winners were:
Preliminary: Brian Clark
Intermediate: Peter Crane
Advance: Perry Lamba

Today we held the print sale at The Cranham Community Fete.
Thank you to the members that turned up to help and also the many of you that donated prints for sale.

We raised a tidy sum to help the finances of the centre.
