FEBRUARY MONTHLY PRINT

A LIGHT HEARTED LOOK

Well that was the last monthly print of the competition year. With only the yearly prints left it is time to look at the contenders for the series winners.
As some of you may be missing the Horse Racing I thought I might use some racing terms so that you do not get withdrawal symptoms

 The Novice Chase (Preliminary)
With Paul taking the early lead and Peter making a late show half way through the race. It is Avtar coming up on the outside that is leading by a nose in the final furlong. So it is all up to the last two hurdles as to who makes it first past the post.

Selling Plate (Intermediate)
Martyn who likes to be a front runner is leading by a country mile and is so confident of a win he did not enter the current round. After a being off the pace for a couple of races Peter is starting to come good but may be pulled up before the finishing line.
With Bob, Eric, Sue & Harry a good bet for third place.

The Classics (Advanced)
With Sarah taking the early lead and Dave a length behind, he was pulled up after the first hurdle to concentrate on the Upminster People Plate. With Kevin taking the lead in mid race and Sarah falling several lengths behind and then slowly gaining on Kevin, before Brian getting the whip out and coming on the inside to keep in touch with the leaders. All three are worth an each way bet to win the title.
As for myself, well I made it out of the stalls, only to pull up lame, so it's the knackers yard for me.
